Sequence of stages to achieve project management (ISO 21500) is as follows:
- initiating projects: project plan development according to customer requirements, typology and complexity of the project, defining activities, defining results required by various stakeholders
- integrated planning of projects by planning the activities, estimating the costs and creating project budgets, creating the schedule of the execution, organizing the project teams, establishing the roles and responsibilities, planning and organizing communication of the management of requirements and changes in project management of acquisitions and risk management
- execution of the project by carrying out activities provided
- integrated monitoring and control of changes that occur within the project, control communication, resources, quality, risk, to fit into time and costs
- closing projects by documents proving whether benefits were achieved and provide recommendations for future improvements.
